Supporting the consular community since 1968.

Our Story

Founded in 1968 by Mr. Hernan Navarro, the Consul of Chile to the United States, the Consular Corps was established to serve as a forum for diplomats to discuss current consular issues and challenges.

In 1974, the Corps officially adopted its Organizational Guidelines, which continue to govern it today, more than five decades later.

Since its founding, the Consular Corps has comprised not only embassy and consulate representatives but also federal government officials and corporate sponsors who support the diplomatic community. This innovative membership structure facilitates connections among diplomats, government counterparts, and corporate sponsors, fostering relationships that support future collaboration and advance mission goals.
